It was an absolutely gorgeous day today. Spring certainly can't be too far away. This was the first day that Alisha had felt like getting out since her surgery, so that is a wonderful sign that she is recuperating and healing speedily. The sun was shining
brightly and the winds were calm, so we decided to walk downtown, no jogging yet :-)
Sunday morning, so town was totally deserted. Neat to be the only ones, except for an
occasional car, out and about. And wonderful for the natives to have it to ourselves before the tourists arrive en mass when the season starts. I actually dread it, and will
cherish this time all the more when we can have our little town selfishly to ourselves
without the brash, aggressive and ever so rude Floridians arrive. Alisha was fairly
exhausted from her efforts and is napping on the couch, but she has truly made remarkable progress in the last few days. I love these wonderful ancient mountains
of NC, it is healing to the soul in the rapid pace society we live in today. I love the
simple life, and quiet peaceful country living.
